C.K. receives glowing review from Writer’s Digest award judge

Though C.K.’s book, My Silly Dog Gus, didn’t receive an award in the 2015 Writer’s Digest Self-Published eBook Awards, she did get a glowing review from the judge. Take a look below.

Pageflex Persona [document: PRS0000038_00001]My Silly Dog Gus comes with a classically illustrated cover that is sure to draw the attention of both male and female child readers.  Who doesn’t love a dog?  And a dog named Gus?  Come on.  Great marketing effort with this design.

While there are so many children’s books featuring dog characters on the market, it is so difficult to find one that stands out in the crowd and is both unique and entertaining.  The author has done a great job here with little Gus.  What a fun book about Gus “who won’t stop barking”.  A fun read from cover to cover.  Nicely done.

The overall production quality is top notch here.  From the design to the illustrations to the development and writing style, this is well above average.  Nice set up and clean writing, as well.

Gus will make a great addition to any child’s library and I plan to share this one with my own children.  The author has an excellent voice for the genre and I encourage her to continue on in this endeavor with more books.

I hope to read more from the author in the near future.  Best of luck with this project.
