C.K.’s latest two books named finalists in 2016 FAPA Awards

The Castle Across the Street: Prince Jackson Goes to School and The Tremendous Tale of the Terrifying Toynado have been named finalists in the 2016 Florida Authors and Publishers Association President’s Book Awards.

Placing will be announced and medals awarded on Saturday, August 6th at the FAPA annual awards banquet in Orlando, Florida.

C.K. a participant in 8th annual Literacy Day

The Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens hosted its 8th annual Literacy Day on January 11, 2016. Nearly 300 kids from local elementary schools were in attendance.norton pic 1

C.K. was a guest author presenter and performed both a reading of My Silly Dog Gus and a poetry activity with each group.

Each school was also given a copy of C.K.’s first book, The Castle Across the Street, with classroom materials and bookmarks for each child. The event was a huge success in fostering the love of reading and creating in children.
